PELHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Edgar’s Bakery is taking steps to keep its customers and employees safe from COVID-19.

It’s installing a no-touch disinfection technology to combat the virus and other germs.

A spokesperson who works for this technology company said Edgar’s Bakery is making history, becoming the first restaurant in the state to install the CASPR technology, which turns air and water molecules into virus-fighting agents.

Like most restaurants, Edgar’s Bakery has taken a hit during this pandemic.

FAIRFIELD, Ala. (WBMA) — Fairfield City Schools announced Tuesday it is adding a new layer of protection on its buses against COVID-19 that aims to kill certain viruses and bacteria before they make it inside the schools.

The school district said on Wednesday, August 17, state of the art transit disinfection filtration systems will be installed on buses. The units will disinfect the air and surfaces of the buses continuously. The school district sad this includes seats, floors, backpacks and clothing.
